Term Accounts

MCU has Term Deposit (TD) accounts to cater for members who wish to earn higher rates of interest on their investment funds for short to medium terms. Members can invest as little as $2000 for terms ranging from 3 to 24 months. The interest is paid on maturity unless the member instructs otherwise. Interest can be paid monthly, quarterly or half yearly, but conditions may apply.

Members may open subsequent accounts so as to stagger maturity dates on a number of investments.

Interest Rates

• 3 Months 5.40% p.a.
• 6 Months 5.80% p.a.
• 12 Months 6.00% p.a.
• 24 Months 6.45% p.a.

Minimum Opening Balance: $2000

Terms: from 3 months to 24 months

All deposits are at the discretion of MCU. MCU may, from time to time, place limits on the maximum holdings of Term Deposits.
