The Maleny Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of an additional director to its board, Anita Hanicek.
The credit union’s chief executive Greg Stevens said “that the credit union is in a privileged position to have the depth and experience of directors on its board and with the addition of Anita this will even further enhance our board due to the many skills that she brings us”.
Anita Hanicek has been a Blackall Range local for 12 years.
Anita has a background in Public Relations, Marketing and Sales and brings a passionate and motivated spirit to the Maleny Credit Union. With experience as a small business owner and arts educator, Anita is a creative source for innovative ideas and concepts. As a member of the Credit Union for many years, Anita strongly resonates with the ideals of the Credit Union and its members.
In her capacity as a Director, she is committed to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships between the Credit Union and local businesses and organisations. Anita has always had an active involvement with community groups on The Range and is currently Project Coordinator for Range Kids Care Inc and is on the Board of the Interfaith Community Development Association.
Anita said “she believes the Credit Union has a significant role in the future of this region and looks forward to supporting its vision as an ethical role model and leader in sustainable and environmentally responsible banking practices”.
